Office 2008 12.2.0 Update

M

macadamia

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: pop

After installing the 12.2.0 update, I get the following pop-up menu about every 2-3 minutes:
MS Entourage wants to use your confidential information stored in "pop.earthlink.net" in your keychain. The authenticity of "MS Entourage" cannot be verified. Do you want to allow access to this item?

This is followed by always allow, deny + allow. After clicking always allow, the same window immediately appears. Then the whole thing repeats in a few minutes. Everything in my POP settings appears fine + unchanged.

Thanks in advance for your help.

MS Entourage wants to use your confidential information stored in
"pop.earthlink.net" in your keychain. The authenticity of "MS Entourage"
cannot be verified. Do you want to allow access to this item?

That looks like a keychain issue. I would launch Keychain Access from
/Applications/Utilities and delete the corresponding entry there. I
would also use the Keychain First Aid command in the menus to fix the
keychain.
Next time, Entourage will re-create the entry inthe keychain (you'll
have to re-enter your account password).
