Provide a Baseline Count field for tasks

I'm currently using Microsoft Office Project Professional 2003
(11.2.2005.1801.15) SP2. I would like to see a field which automatically
calculates the number of times a task has been baselined.

Having this information would allow us (the Project Office) to better
control baselines and determine if tasks are being baselined inappropriately.
As an example, prior to baselining a plan, the baseline count for each task
would be 0. Whenever a task is baselined, 1 would be added to the baseline
count for that task. If the Project Office analyzes a plan and sees a
baseline count that is out of the norm (e.g., 10 times with no supporting
documentation), then we would know that the Project Manager is not baselining
the plan properly.

This would be a checkpoint for project offices or resource managers of PMs
to see the frequency in which project plan tasks are being baselined. We
should then expect to see supporting documentation which warrants the
multiple baselines.

You can do this, but you will need to use VBA code and the
ProjectBeforeSaveBaseline event.
