Pub 97 coexisting with other versions

Can I install Pub 97 on a PC that also has on it Pub 2000 and Pub 2002?

(I need to develop sample files to be used on Pub 97.)

Sure you can. Just make sure it does not install in the same folder as any
of the other versions.

If you have any problems just post back.

You can have all of them on one PC, but you will need to install them in
following sequence PUB97 then PUB200 and then 2002... I would suggest you to
install them in a different custom folders. And when you install a newer
version choose do not remove previous version.

Thank you,

Actually, do to Windows Installer conflicts, I recommend
installing the newest first, then to oldest. You will
find that if you install say 97, then 98 then 2000 then
2002, the next time you run Microsoft Publisher 2000 you
will be requested to re-install the CD for installation
again, but for a few files that it's looking for to
coexist with the newer Windows Installer.

I have confirmed this to be an issue with one of the
Microsoft Windows Installer developers.
