160x60 Banner

Nitin

Hi there,
I have to make a banner of 160x60 pixel which will be posted on a website. I
have been trying but the outcome is not meeting my requirements of 160x60
pixel, colour quality and readable text.
I would highly appreciate if someone could guide me on this issue.

Many Thanks,
Nitin

What version Publisher?

Tools, Options, select pixels as a measurement. Create a rectangle, right-click,
size tab, type 60 height, 660 width.
If you don't want a border, create ruler guides and delete the rectangle. Do
your color and other stuff. Select all, group, right-click, save as picture.
..png would be a good choice. If this is unsatisfactory create the banner in a
paint program.

Hi Nitin, I tried this in Publisher 2003, it kind of worked. The text can be a
problem. If you use WordArt instead of a text box you might have better results.
Once I saved it as a image the pixel count changed. Basically it saved it with
twice the amount of pixels I had originally designated. I opened it in Paint and
resized it 50%.
