2 bit font

Is it possible to remove a 2 bit font from the ppt file. I
have been trying to get rid of PmingLiu but cannot, unless
I recreate every file it has weasled its way into (which
is substatial.) I have seen some solutions online such as
converting the file to HTML deleting the font from the
source code and then re-importing the file back into PPT.

This cannot be the only way. I desperately need help as
this font is crashing my PPT at some very inopportune
times.
