2 Index pages!!

After publishing I end up with 2 index pages on the server - it screws
everything up. I've tried deleting one of them and that doesn't work either.
The host service says that the server extensions need to be reinstalled.
This seems to happen to me - a lot. Is it something I'm doing? I have 5
websites that I've created and manage. All are on "HostSave.com".

You need to ask your host what default index page they require, and use
that.

I talked to them - they were as baffled as I was - that's scary! I'm not
sure what you're saying. They said everything looked fine to them. Of
course their pat answer to everything is to reinstall the extensions.

You need to ask them what the home page should be named for their server.
Some common names are: index.htm, index.html, default.htm, default.html. If
you are not aware of what is should be and don't rename your home page when
you create your web/site FP will automatically adjust to what the server
requires hence you can end up with two homepages...like: index.htm AND
index.html - one of which is not needed and will cause problems for you.
Also the extension is only important on the root homepage, that's to say if
they require index.html all your other pages can still be htm or html -
doesnt matter on other pages.
