1. Is there a way to remove the ID number column when printing? (Not
currently visible on task sheet)

2. I have multiple sub-projects which each have ID numbers starting at 1.
I'd like to print the master schedule and use a sequential numbering scheme
across all schedules. i.e. - sub-project 1 goes from 1 to 100, sub-project 2
from 101 to 250, etc. Is there an easy way of doing this? Unique IDs are
not sequential, just unique.

Thanks!

The easiest solution is to use VBA and write a routine which will number all
the lines. Unfortunately, dealing with subprojects is a bit complicated so
this is not a trivial task.
You could always input the numbers yourself, by hand.

Personally, I don't think that numbering the lines would be all that useful
Have you considered using a WBS?

Yes we are using WBS' as well. However, my boss wants to have the rows
listed in numerical order. If I could print the schedules without the ID
number then I might be able to persuade him to view the tasks in a WBS view.

Did you try using a table that doesn't have the ID in it? Seems to work for
me. Go to view menu, tables and edit the table. Delete the first row.

Hi Rolands67,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

I suggest you insert a Number column. Then, in Excel, create a column and
put 1 in the first cell, 2 in the second, highlight them both and click and
drag the fill handle to produce a column of sequential numbers. Then
copy/paste into the project number column.

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :))
