What will actually change from Access 02 to 03? Can you not upgrade the
installation and then the files, individually? Will it affect code and/or
macros?

If you install Access 2003, it will not impact any MDB files you might
already have on your computer.

In fact, when you install Access 2003, you don't even have to remove Acess
2002 (unless, of course, you've purchased an upgrade version of Access
2003.)

Both Access 2002 and Access 2003 use the Access 2000 file format as their
default. Even if you changed Access 2002 to use the Access 2002 file format,
Access 2003 and Access 2002 have the same "advanced" file format.

My company is using a migration tool (type and name unknown). I was wondering
why there would be a need.

Thanks for the explanation so far
