2003 full version , will xp upgrade from full rather than upgrade(SBE)

B

Brucefl

Bidding on 2003 on ebay, at times you can catch a full version cheaper than
upgrade.

I have Office xp upgraded from 2000. If I get a full version of Small
business edition 2003, will it upgrade he xp version
without having to uninstall SBE XP.
Or is it ncecessary to get the upgrade.
Again sometimes you can get the full less than the upgrade.
thanks

If you can get a full version for less than the upgrade, it is probably OEM
software or copied/pirated. Be very careful when you see an auction that
looks too good to be true - you know what they say.

Having said that, using the full version or upgrade version gives you the
same code base and will upgrade XP fine. The only difference is that the
upgrade version will check for a prior qualifying product before installing.
Otherwise, they are exactly the same.

Thanks,
I am aware of the OEM's according to policy long as they send it with a
peice of hardward working or not.
If you catch an auction at the right time, I can get the full, if i catch it
right.
Just wanted to make sure that it will update without disturbing my email and
other files for word, and publisher,
