[2003] This item cannot be displayed in the Reading Pane.

I receive mail from someone who has digitally signed a message, and I
get:

"This item cannot be displayed in the Reading Pane. Open the item to
read its contents."

If I open the message then I can view it, but this is a pain. Can I
get around this somehow?
