2nd level Subdatasheet will not display in Access 2003 linked tabl

I have linked tables from a different database. I have the new tables as a
one-to-many relationship in the new database. The subdatasheet will not
display. The "insert subdatasheets" is disabled. What can I do to fix the
problem?

if you used Access Data Projects you wouldn't have this problem

seriously- keep your data where it belongs-- on a database server

Hi Pat,

I *think* (not positive) that the tables involved must be in the same
database. Is this the case? Personally, I do not use SubDatasheets (only
rarely, during DB development, and then they are set to [None] for production
release). Here is the reason why:

BUG: Slow performance on linked tables in Access 2002 and Office Access
2003
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=275085

Note: Applies to Access 2000 and 2007 equally well.

I don't think that is a bug with subdatasheet; I think that it is a
bug with MDB

I never have this problem with Access Data Projects :)
