Mary:
Thanks for the post, but I'm not trying to access the Office Online version
of help. But merely do a normal/standard F1 search in MS Word.

The chm files are installed locally. So, I believe that I should be able to
access help topics locally not throuh the web.

Your thoughts.

Thank you.

Hi Javier,

More specifically, this has occurred since the last set of Windows updates
came through. There may have been a change that took place, we believe,
through the VBA components; however, we cannot pinpoint the problem. This
particular incident may be due to us running Office as a workstation with
the files located on the server.

Would a Detect and Repair help? How about changing the Search box to "Offline
Help" since the default is MS Online?

mary:
The detect & repair, as well as Control Panel | MS Office | Add/Remove
Feature| then install the help locally did work for a local install of
Office. But this is a lab environment and the Office install is server based.
