40mb PST file reduces to 32kb

When opening a pst file over a network, the pst file
reduced to 32kb. This is the only pst file on the pc,
searched hidden folders, nothing. Any hope?

Sounds like a "blank" file to me! Export your outlook to a new file with a
new name (040902a.pst) in the root of C. See what size it is then!

MS doesnt support the use of a pst on a network, it can lead to corruption.
