425 Can't build data connection

Mike

I need some help. I have bought a host server for my web
site and had front page enabled. I built my pages and
when I try to upload it asks for domain name, then user
name and password. When I click OK it just sets there for
about a minute or more and I get a pop up box that says
425 Can't build data connection: Connection timed out. I
have tried this for a couple of days now and keep getting
the same thing. My host provider charges for frontpage
help and I'm working on a shoe string. I tried Blaze FTP
and have no problems uploading or downloading anything,
but my page doesn't function because they were written
with frontpage. I just can't figure this thing out, some
one give me some pointers, I would be grateful.

Thanks for the help. I went and changrd it to http:// and
it says several things now:
Unable to open HTTP://www.******-********.com
Server Error
Possible Causes
1. The web server may not have front page extensions (it
does) it has all the vti and page folders.
2.The web server may be temp out of service (Blaze up and
Down loads fine)
3. If your connecting thru a proxy (im not)
4. an error may have occored with the server (blaze ftp
work before, during and after the error)
If the server doesn't support frontpage extensions you
may still be able to publish your pages thru FTP.

Any more suggestions? I really thank you for your
help......

If you already published using ftp you have corrupted the extensions and they will have to
be reinstalled by your host.
Have them repair or reinstall them and then publish using http://

I want to thank you for your help.
I never really published to my site, I don't think! I
uploaded a couple of pages for a test while I was
building my site, will I have to still have the server
reset. My host company has a reset in my utilities page,
but I'm really afraid to use it unless you relly think I
need too. Do you think I will have to because I used an
ftp uploader as a test?

Thanks Again
Mike

Yes, if you ftp'd even once the extensions are probably corrupt.
Open your web master panel and reset them.
