70,000 emails.

I was at the Office Outlook website and clicked the demo for a lesson on
search folders. Then I clicked on my search folder unread messages and it was
still collecting up unreads at over 70,000 emails when I stopped it. On
closer inspection I see there are many thousands of them from Welcome
Microsoft outlook Team dated 28 June this year.

It's now gone up to 98,000. What could the cause of this be?

it turns out not to be that actual link; more something to do with me
importing from archived folders. Now that I have deleted duplicate inbox and
other folders the problem has gone. I'm still not clear on why this happened
but it is resolved.
