A "Do you want to merge?" window appears when I click on an attachment.

Whenever I click on an attachment to open it, this window
appears: "Do you want to merge changes in (name of
attachment) back into (a document with the same name on
the network)."

For instance, Test.doc is an existing document on the
network. A co-worker (on the same network) attaches this
document to an email and sends it to me. When I click on
the attachment, I get the "Do you want to merge changes?"
window.

I have only started getting this message recently. In
the past, I could just click on the attachment and view
it and then decide if I want to save it, etc. I didn't
get this pesky message. How do I make the message go
away?

Thanks,
Leslie

More of a Word issue, really - sounds like "track changes" is enabled on
that document.

We need to be able to use "Track Changes" in the
document. But, we've used "Track Changes" in the past
and never received this message before. I'd still like
to stop getting the message. Is that possible?

Thanks,
Leslie

Delete all the Outlook temp items.
Don't open the attachment directly, save it to the hard drive and open it
from there.
Does that help?
