A Mess

Hello,

I am running a registered copy of Office XP Pro. My problem is that
whenever I open an Excel file, I receive the following Visual Basic
error:

"Complie error in hidden module: AutoExecNew"

Also, when I close the same file, I get:

"Compile error in hidden module: DistMon"

Further, I notice all doc and xls icons are the generic Windows type,
even though the file types are associated with the correct program. I
have tried "Detect and Repair" options, but I get an error message
stating the msi package cannot be opened...same when I attempt a
complete uninstallation. Am I correct that this will require a
reformat/reinstallation to fix?

problem is not excel - adobe is
search and move these files to desktop
pdfmaker.dot
pdfmaker.xla
