Like many others, I have encountered the issue described in Article 836178,
"You receive an "invalid product key" error message when you start an Office
2003 program after you install Office Professional Edition 2003". Microsoft
offers a workaround that requires that you un-install earlier versions of
Office. This workaround is unacceptable because my work requires being able
to re-create exactly the conditions encountered in earlier releases. Is
Microsoft working on a true solution to this issue? Or must I forever
maintain a separate computer for each Office release?
