A5 Booklet not centred

I have created an A5 booklet using the catalog wizard and although the
separate A5 pages look centred on the screen, the objects on the pages aren't
centred when they are printed out.

What's the problem, the inside and outside margins are set the same. This
is version 2000.

Are the margins outside the limitations of your printer defaults? What about the top
and bottom margins? If your largest margin is, say, 1.27cm, then all your margins
should be 1.27cm.
If the setup is correct and you are still off center, do as Don recommended, look for
an updated driver.
