Abbreviation in PowerPoint

I have a problem. If I type an abbreviation in PowerPoint such as gr., sbr.
and skv. (in Icelandic) the program freezes and I have to end the program in
Task Manager. What can I do?

It looks like you have some kind of problem with AutoCorrect. If you go
to the Tools menu and choose AutoCorrect Options and click on the
AutoCorrect tab, you can uncheck the box for "Replace text as you type."
See if this helps. If it does, you definitely have an AutoCorrect
problem. Also, try Detect and Repair from the Help menu.
