How do I make foreign accents in Power Point?

As Austin says or if there's just a few accented letters and you know the
ascii code you can hold down alt - type the four character code on the
numeric keypad and release alt

for example for é hold down alt, type 0233 (make sure its the numeric
keypad) and release alt.
