I have Office 2000 Developer SR-1 and, due to my PC Crashing, have just
reloaded everything again. As part of this process, I installed Office 2000
SP3 and all other relevant updates by letting MS do an auto update which
seemed to work fine.
Whilst this has updated MSAccess.exe in my normal office folder (and I
presume numerous "dll" files) there has been no upgrading of the same file
within the "C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\ODETools\V9\Runtime\pfiles\msoffice\office" folder... or any other
folders.
When I originally came across this problem on my PC (before it wobbled and
died), I manually replaced every file below the Runtime folder with any
updated versions elsewhere on my PC... and it took hours and seemed somewhat
perilous.. not to mention unnecessary.
I want to be able to send out Access applications along with an up-to-date
version of the Access Runtime installation... so that everything works the
same on my clients' PCs as it does on mine.
I have searched Microsoft's Site to find any reference to this problem but
have drawn a blank... I can't see any obvious means to achieve this
easily... Can anyone possibly shed any light on this problem?
Thanks
