Greetings,
I have a Access 2000 application that has been requested to support a
Chinese font for data entry, storage, and the interface. The help file
indicates that a "Arial Unicode MS" font contains Chinese character support.
There are also instructions for loading this (referenced as "Universal Font"
by the install program) however I am encountering difficulties as follows.
First, the Office 2000 setup indicates that the "Universal Font" is
installed however I am unable to locate "Arial Unicode MS" as a selection in
the "Tools-Options-Datasheet-Default Font" dropdown within Access 2000.
Correct me if I am taking the wrong approach, my objective is to confirm
that Access 2000 supports storage and retrieval of Chinese ideographic data.
Second, I also have Access 2003 on another system and Arial Unicode MS is
available however I have no clue how to enter Chinese characters to test the
data storage of this font. Can anyone give me a lead as to how this works?
Thanks much,
Rene'
