Hi,

We have been using an Access system that is deployed in cd.
A while ago we received computers with access 2007. When this system is
installed in these computers in gives the following message:

“read-only this database has been opened read-only. You can only change data
in linked tables. To make design changes, save a copy of the databaseâ€

The read-only check box of the files are uncheck.

What can be causing this problem to occur?

Thanks,

Carla

You should set options in the trustcenter settings under Access. The
directory where the db resides should be listed in the list of trusted
directories. Also make sure you have the proper rights on the directory.

Microsoft Button - Access options - Trust Center - Trust center settings (on
the right) - trusted locations - add new location.
