Access Autoform error

D

David Beaven

When one user attempts to design a new form in Access XP Sp2 using the
wizard they get this error. This happens on any database including a new
one.
We have reimaged the machine, given the user a new profile and after that
deleted hkcu\software\microsoft\office\10\access but the error remains.
Other users are ok

Autoform Wizard
Application-defined or object-defined error

Any ideas?
Thanks
David

Hi David,

The issue may be caused by the AcWzUsrT.MDT file in the
C:\Windows\Application Data\Microsoft\Access\ folder was corrupt.

Let's rename the file to AcWzUsrT.xxx and then generate the form again.
Let's see whether this works.

Please also make sure the user has the Read Access to the following
registry key.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Access\Wizards.

Please restore the hkcu\software\microsoft\office\10\access key if you have
deleted it from a good computer.

Thanks for using Microsoft News Group!

Sincerely,

Steven Liu [MSFT]
