ACCESS SHOWS NUMBER FRONTPAGE ASP SHOWS TEXT

Tony

I have a DB record field formatted for number, but it
appears as text when I view the FP ASP page on the Web.
Is there a way to have this view as a number?

Thanks,
Tony

Tony,

What do you mean exactly? Everything that appears on a Web page is text.
If it's ASP, everything is a variant and of no particular type.

Jim,

I'm not familiar with the ASP scripting language, or
understand what you mean by "variant". But I would like
the output to appear as a number which can then be added
down. More precisely, currency.

Right now, the value appearing in the column, is left
justified indicating that it's formatted as text. In
Access, the table information is formatted for cuurency,
for example it appears as $1,000.00, after it goes
through the FP ASP process it appears as 1000, all the
formatting is gone.

Jim,

For the overly complicated answer to a very simple
question. For future keep it simple. Depending on use
a "variant" indicates a slight change from the norm, or
variation. Maybe you met variate, which is a random
variable.

I'll visit the recommended site.

Thanks for your support, I appeciate it.
