Accessing Outlook 2003 through VPN

None of our VPN users cannot access Outlook 2003 through VPN. All other
resources can be accessed. If they switch back to Outlook 2000 or XP they
can access mail.

Is there any setting in outlook that I am missing.

Can they ping the server by name? Are they trying to connect to an Exchange
server? Is Cached Mode enabled?

I've found that if the Outlook 2003 VPN clients are on the same subnet as the Exchange Server then Outlook 2003 works fine.
