I have Check Book package on my Palm handheld (Ultrasoft Money). A Cash
transfer made in one account automatically appears in the other account and
any edit in either account is reflected in both accounts.
I have been trying to reproduce this in Access 2000 with only limited success.
I have used a Union query to show the transfer as entered in the one account
and to create a mirror image record which is the transfer in the other
account. Now, in the Accounts Table with a sub-datasheet consisting of this
Union query, I can expand either account and see each leg of this transfer
correctly, but sadly the transactions are not updateable.
Any suggestions on how this could be done would be most appreciated.
Are there any example Access accounting databases out there? - I could
really do with a bit of a kick start to get me going.
