Active Directory prompt after installing Office XP

After updating my Office 2000 installation to Office XP Professional, I
opened Outlook and was presented with a Screen requesting a password for
Active Directory? I use a dial up connection, and do not have a network
card installed. The first line had NULL typed in and so did the name. I
changed the name from NULL to the name I use for the dial up connection, and
also put in my dial up password. I then changed the order in the address
book to access contacts first. I am also running MSN Messenger, and I use a
local ISP, not MSN.

I am now wondering if I should have done this since my internet connection
now keeps dropping.

I also have a second user setup since I am running Windows XP Home. I am
now wondering if XP & Outlook setup something for the second user since I
use the same Internet connection for both. I am very confused now.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Remove the LDAP/Active Directory address book provider found under Tool |
Email Accounts | View/Change address books | Highlight the address book
provider | Remove.
