Active Directory Sync to Project Server

I am syncronizing active directory with project server to populate the
resource pool. I have created a seperate active directory group called
"project 03". Project server performs the sync and says that it has completed
successfully. However, when checking the resource pool, a resource has been
added from a different active directory group. No resources from the
"project03" AD group have been added. Achitecture includes a application
server for Project, a database server for SQL, and an exchange server with AD.

Has anyone seen this happen before and have a solution?
