Active X stops PPT slide from running

Hi all
As a last resort before I actually go onto a Windows PC (uggggg!) to get my
job done, is there anything I can do to make a PPT run that has Active X in
it? I get a ŒSome controls on this presentation cannot be activated because
Powerpoint does not support ActiveX controls¹ dialogue coming up.

I¹ve got the latest version of Powerpoint on a Mac running Tiger, and I
think I know the answer but I thought I¹d better ask you guys first.

Hi,

Active-X is an open source product that currently does not run on
Macintosh computers.

No one (which means just about everyone) should ever use Active-X if
their target audience will ever include Macintosh computers. As you can
see, Active-X turns something that might be good into something that's
useless garbage.

For the most part, standard controls in PowerPoint can accomplish the
same things that Active-X does without creating a file that's dead in
the water.
