I don't know if this has been posted before, but I have an
odd problem with using Combo boxes.
I have a worksheet that I need to have specific values in
drop downs that relate to formulas. Whenever I use the
drop down, the application converts the number to text.
I have formatted the entire worksheet as "Number".
The formula is simple enough, but it will not work if the
numbers are formatted as text. I can go back into the
sheet and use the error checker to convert the text to
number, however, when I change the drop down to provide a
different formula, the number comes up as text. Does
anyone know of a fix for this issue, or if there is a
workaround? With the number of functions and formulas in
the sheet, it is nearly impossible to have them all
manually entered, since this is going to be for a client
that is to say, not Excel (or computers in general)
literate.
