Hello..
After having tried just about everything, I thought I'd start a thread
here to see if anybody here would know more about this problem that I'm
having.
The problem: I cannot use Office Update. I can browse the update
catalog manually and select updates that way, but the activex
controlled update engine that automatically determines what updates I
need by checking what Office products I have installed... is dead. And
I MEAN dead. I've done EVERYTHING on this site, without luck:

I did this just now:

without success. I have come to the conclusion that the problem is not
with Office itself, but with the ActiveX element. Somehow it just won't
install properly.

I'm dying to get this fixed. My Office products all work flawlessly,
but I can't leave it like this.. without the ability to auto-update :/
