Actual Days Allocated to Project Or Taks

Hi

Is there an easy way to show total hours I have allocated to a project or
task. No work started as yet, have put together the plan including days I
think it will take to complete taks BUT all I can easily see is the Main task
line in bold, this just shows me duration between start and end date so for
example I have one task which I have put down as 2 days, but because these
two tasks are weeks apart I look at the header for the task and it looks like
its 27 days - I will only be working for 2 though

Any help much appreciated
