Actual work replaces existing actual work for task for resource

Hi!
I am using Project 2002 Email workgroup to collect actuals from
resources. The actual hours reported by the resource for the current week
replaces the existing actual hours already booked by the resource for that
task.

Could you tell me what is that I am missing? I may have to downgrade to
Project 2000 if this is not fixed and I do not want to miss out on the
features in 2002.

It's been a few years since I used email workgroup to collect actuals, but it
appears that this is normal. If someone send you actuals for a specific day,
it iw always overlay any existing actuals for the same day. As far as I
know, there is no problem, that's the way it works.

Thanks for the response Joe. I meant that all actual hours ever recorded in
the past is getting wiped out with actuals for the week being reported.
