'Add to dictionary' Disabled

Hi all,

Does anyone know how I can activate a button in Word 97 (Vista) that is
greyed out? When the spell checker finds an unknown word, I don't have the
facility to right click and 'Add to Dictionary' - it's just greyed out. Have
checked out the options using Microsoft help files but my problem doesn't
seem to be listed.

Make sure the language of the dictionary (Custom.dic) is "All Languages."
