adding photos and mpg

In FP 2000 you could add graphics by putting them in the right folder in
your hard drive. Then when you opened FP, they were there. It was much
faster than copy and pasting, especially if you had a lot to add at one
time.

Why can I not do it that way in FP 2003?
I sometimes add 25 or 30 jpg at a time and copy and paste right into FP 2003
takes way too much time.

Any suggestions?

You don't have to copy and paste, just select, then drag and drop into a folder within your current
open FP web / site or use the File Menu | Import command.

I have tried both drag and drop and importing but FP times out. I never had
the problem with just images. But now that I am adding AVI files, they take
forever to import and then time out. I usually walk away when they are
importing because it takes so long. And many times when I come back, it
timed out. I never had the problem with mpegs. So what is the problem with
AVI?
