Adding tables from MS Word document

S

Steve Grosz

I had someone send me a article we're using in a newsletter that has a
table. The article is done in MS Word.

How can I easily add the document and keep the table looking the same as it
does in the MS Word doc??

I'm trying to give the OP the benefit of the doubt. Plus they may have and
have had an unexpected results. Hopefully, if that's the case, they will let
us know.

(Trying to end the year with a positive attitude, ya know?)

The table was created in Word, and when the document is imported, the table
gets all messed up, doesn't fit into the dimensions of the columns for my
Publisher doc.

Have you simply copied the text in the table cell in Word and then pasted into
the table cell in Publisher? You can "paste special" using various text formats
or no formatting.

I haven't tried that, what I have been doing is selecting the 'insert > text
file' options, and the documents are converted and inserted into the text
area....
