Address Book control SharePoint and Outlook 2007

So, Outlook 2007 does not include the Address Book control used in
conjunction with WSS??

"to use this feature, you must have an address book compatible with
windows sharepoint services and you must have internet explorer 5.0 or
greater"

I do not see it in the list of controls\add-ons in my IE, once I
upgraded to Office and Outlook 2007.

I saw responses in threads from Microsoft folks stating that Outlook
2003 must be kept around to use that control, and I am having a hard
time believing this.

Microsoft, please respond.
