Address Book in email

In previous versions of Word, I was able to email to
recipients in my Outlook Express address book. Now Word
only allows me to go to the Outlook contacts or personal
address book. Since it is not my mail handler, I cannot
send. How can I get Word to go to OE??

Word can only use a MAPI compliant address book, and that means Outlook.
This has always been the case. The only time Outlook Express address books
have been compatible was with the aid of Microsoft Exchange, which I believe
was partially implemented in some earlier Windows operating systems. Now
Exchange is only a practical proposition for corporate users.

Yes!! Thank you, that worked. I just changed the
Contact List to "Address Book" instead of Outlook.

Thanks Shaun:
I have been looking for this answer for a week. One machine on my Windows
2000 network would not pick up the Outlook Contacts address book when trying
to send email from within Word. Who would'a tunk the answer was in Internet
Explorer!
