address book on Exchange server question

When I start addressing an email, Entourage suggests recipient
addresses from my contact list, but double entries of each person
appear in the suggestion list. In other words if you type J in the To:
field, you see:

Jack User (e-mail address removed)
Jack User (e-mail address removed)
Joe User (e-mail address removed)
Joe User (e-mail address removed)

Is this because I have a contact list in both Address Book [on my
computer] and in Contacts [Exchange server]?

If I delete the contacts in just the local address book, I just want to
be sure that they wont be deleted on the server. Thanks for any help.

Don't worry. WIth Exchange, you can't delete email addresses from the
Global Address Book. (We use Exchange and Entourage at my office, too,
so I know what you're talking about.) When it comes to people at your
company, it's safe to delete their names from your personal address
book, stored on your computer, in favor of having them on the company
Global Address Book. The GAL is maintained by your Exchange server
admin, so you can't delete email addresses from it.

HTH.

Cheers
Geoff
