Questioner --
In the future, please post your Project Server 2007 questions in the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is devoted to
the Microsoft Project desktop application only. To answer your question,
the Administrative Backup and Restore feature allows the Project Server
administrator to backup selected objects to the Archive database, and to
backup those objects on a regular cycle. Doing so allows the Project Server
administrator to selectively restore one or more objects as needed. For
example, you make a backup of the projects every day. Tomorrow you discover
a PM changed a project and damaged it, and needs you to restore yesterday's
backup of the project. You can do a single project restore from the Archive
database. Hope this helps.
