advance ahead 4 slides while in slideshow

Hello. I ran into a situation on Sunday where I needed to skip 4 slides
while I was running a presentation. If I had known the actual slide number
that I needed to jump to, it would have been easy for me to do. I could've
just entered the slide number that I wanted to jump to. However, I didn't
know it. As it turned out, the audience watched me quickly flip past the 4
unwanted slides. Definately not desireable.

Any suggestions on how to avoid this situation in the future?

Thanks in advance,
Dave

You could right click on the screen during slide show,
then select Go > By Title.
From there, it would be easier to select which slide you want to proceed to.

s Tohlz says OR if you know you might have to skip particular slides mark
them as hidden. Then click shows the next non hidden slide and H shows the
hidden slides

One more option, if you know in advance, is to put hyperlinks on the bottoms
of slides for navigation. If there are parts of the presentation that are
"optional" you could put a hyperlink to jump past them on the slide just
before the optional slides. Without advanced planning, skipping slides is
always going to be a bit clumsy, but Tohlz's solution is probably the least
clumsy.
