Alignment of back-side of business card

C

Carolyn

Can anyone suggest what I can do to align the back side of my business card. It doesn't always misalign, but moreso than no. It certainly is a waste of color ink and card stock when it doesn't print as it should. Any helpful information on what I can check would be certainly appreciated and a money-saver

Thanks!

Carolyn, you probably have a garbage printer like an HP that is causing the
problem. HP junk is notorious for having paper pickup problems. Your feed
rollers could also need cleaning, or shock horror, you may even have the
paper thickness lever in the incorrect position.
Next time make sure you buy a decent brand of printer.
This is not an issue of Publisher.

If it aligns sometimes but not others, it suggests that your printer paper
is not being pulled in at the same position each time.
Selecting a higher quality setting in your printer driver will make your
printer more careful with the paper, but you must also set the paper guides
in your printer so that it holds the paper snugly.
Also check in your document that your page size and paper size match the
paper exactly, and that your business cards are aligned so that the left and
right margins are the same.
