PUB 2007-Thank you card, Store bought card printing issues

B

BarbLynne

I bought Heavy Card stock, 5 1/2 x 4 inch cards.
I want to do Thank You Cards. M/S Publisher 2007 doesn't allow me to print
on these cards. It continues to print all 4 sides on one piece of paper, so
I can then fold into quarters, but that is not what I want.
I want to print on one side of the greeting card which would be page 1 & 4.
Then I turn the card-stock over and continue printing on pages 2 & 3.
I have it set at custom 5.5 x 4, using Page Setup, Greeting Cards, Custom.
What am I forgetting? I also (in print commands) looked for a paper type
for greeting cards...nothing. Please help.

John, Can you really get your version of Publisher 2007 to print the way you
advised the poster?

Setting up the project is no problem.

I'm using a limited (XP) printer driver but
in the Print Dialog I have to choose a paper
size that invokes the "Booklet Side-fold" option.

Now that I think about it...if the full size of the
original paper is only 4" x 5.5"...maybe I should
have made the page setup....2.75" x 4".

What do I know? I would just keep adjusting it
until I found settings that would work )

Hello and thank you...
I did file/page setup/advanced. I tried Booklet, but it's the wrong way. I
tried folded cards (which is what I need) Sheet Fold: Half-page fold. Then
printed: It printed each page (1-4) seperately. New problem...It prints in
the middle of my thank you card. Side note: 5.5" width and 4" H.

Can you help with this new problem?

Well, at least we encouraged you to
experiment. Way-to-go!

You're welcome and thanks for the
feedback.

The only solution I have come up with is to print landscape on the full size
of your card. Divide the printing area in two with a central gap twice the
widthe of your side margins. Arrange page one on the right half of the page
and page four on the left half. Add a page and divide as before. Arrange the
two inside pages. Print and fold.
