all day appointment reminders across timezones

shouldn't there be some ability for all day appointment reminders to b
setup to prohibit time zone adjustments?
currently if an east coast person creates all day appointment reminde
when central time zone receives it the time conversion to 11pm th
previous day means the day prior to the actual event also gets marked a
the top of the calendar with the appointment. You have to actuall
remember those reminders at the top of the calendar probably span th
day before as well when coming from east coast people; or open th
reminder to view the correct day(s) off
I've viewed all the info out there on appointment reminders and tim
zones and haven't been able to detect if there's a solution to make sur
the top of the calendar appt reminders are correct even for those i
other time zones

But midnight on the east coast IS 11:00 PM the day before in the Central time
zone. If you've got something happening beginning at midnight (like you
wanted to go to the first showing of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood
Prince"), then your friend in the Central time zone needs to know you'll be
gone starting at 11:00 PM his time so he doesn't try to reach you.

Unless they show in the other people's local time zone, they WON'T be correct.
Much of Christmas Day in New York City is December 26 in Brisbane.

I see some indication in the Office 2010 Technical Preview that you can have
time zone-independent all-day events. There's a button that suppresses the
time zone selection for events and my Live Mail calendar shows a tooltip when
I hover over an event like a birthday that no time zone was specified.
