Office, I don't have one?

I bought a new pc last year and i am very frustrated to find that basic tools
I needed are not on my pc. I thought outlook, excel and power point would
have come as standard with windows xp. People buy PC's, yes to use from home,
but office tools such as the ones mentioned above are still as important as
they are in the office. My suggestion is that XP should bring these tools as
standard.

If you purchase them separately and have them included, they will come with
your PC. However, Office is not a free program and Microsoft cannot (and
will not) force PC makers to include Office as the only available Office
package. You can get OpenOffice or StarOffice or WordPerfect Office or any
number of Office programs. Microsoft will not "give away" its Office
program (number 1 money maker) with the operating system and you are naive
to suggest they do so.
