An unexpected error has occured.
AutoRecover has been disabled for this session of Excel.

I ge it every time Excel is about to with an autorecovery file based
upon my preference setting for Save. Which I se to 5 Minutes. The
document that I am opening, is old. I tried to search the lists, but
couldn't find anything useful.

Thanks for any help.

Greetings Jerome,

In order to help you, we need to get a better understanding of what's going
on. Thus, here are some questions you should answer that will help you
narrow down the problem:

1. About the File: Does the error message on AutRecover happen only with
this particular file? If so, you mentioned that the file is old, so how old?
In which version of Windows/Mac Excel was it created? What does it contain?
Are you able to save changes to the workbook?
2. About the user/machine: Is it a Protected Workbook? What about the
machine? What's your user permission level?

Hope this helps.
