Animating Powerpoint chart elements

"Animate chart elements" option does not appear when I am trying to animate a
chart. Clicking on the chart in the presentation view brings it up as a
Microsoft Chart object, but I did not create the chart in MS Chart.
Suggestions?

Steve,

Have you tried right clicking the chart and choosing "custom animation".

You need to do this while in powerpoint... (i.e. before you double click the chart to edit the data)

Powerpoint uses MS chart/graph to make graphs (it's transparent in the fact that it just starts up, without you starting
ms graph)
