Annoying situation

I recently bought a new computer (HP) with the Office Home and Student ed.
preinstalled on a trial basis. I uninstalled (repeat, uninstalled) this
version and then installed the Office Enterprise 2007 with a multi licensed
copy from my office. Everything is working fine so far with the programs
themselves, but when I go to the "about" in the options on any of them it
appears below my name "Hewlett-Packard Company". The fact is that I don't
work for HP. How can I change this to my company name or al least eliminate
the reference to HP and have nothing at all? This is my home computer and I
paid for it, but I use it most of the time working from home for my office. I
don't think my boss would by happy (she paid for the license), if she comes
and see my "new boos", and besides, it annoying me. Any help would be
appreciated.

My new HP does the same thing. I went in and CAREFULLY edited the registry.
I did a search on Hewitt and then when it found it, if it was Office
related, I deleted it.

If you do that, make sure you back your registry up first. If you don't know
how - DON'T MESS WITH THE REGISTRY.
(Not yelling, just emphasizing.)

Thank you JoAnn for your prompt answer. Editing the registry is certainly a
possibility I am considering, and I made before in Win XP -with the utmost
respect and some fear to that 'monster', of course- but I was hoping there
were another way. In any case, I think I will have to do it if no other
people here comes with a 'safer' way.
Thank you again, really appreciated,
Luis

There may be a safer way but I've been known to nudge things with a
steamroller before. ;-)

All over the place outside of Office is a bit off-topic here, but the
name might be getting picked up from the Windows user name and company
name, which can be changed as described in
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310441/en-us "How to Change Name and
Company Information After You Install Windows XP". I think the article
also applies to Windows Vista.

Thank you both, JoAnn and Garfield. I followed your advices (a little mix of
them) and the situation is solved. HP is gone from the Office programs. By
the way, upto this moment, those were the only places that appeared, but
Windows came preinstalled, so I will see.
Thank you again,
